LTC®4352 采用一个外部 N 沟道 MOSFET 产生一个近理想的二极管。它可替代一个高功率肖特基二极管和相关联的散热器，从而节省了功率和电路板面积。理想二极管功能实现了低损耗电源 “或” 和电源保持应用。

LTC4352 负责调节 MOSFET 两端的正向电压降，以在二极管 “或” 应用中确保平滑的电流转换。快速接通减小了电源切换期间的负载电压降。如果输入电源发生故障或被短路，则快速关断将较大限度地减小反向电流。

该控制器可采用 2.9V 至 18V 的工作电源。当电压较低时，需要在 VCC 引脚上布设一个外部电源。在欠压或过压条件下，电源通路被禁用。这款控制器还具有一个开路 MOSFET 检测电路，如果在接通状态中传输晶体管两端的电压降过大，则该检测电路将发出指示信号。一个 REV 引脚用于启用反向电流，在需要的时候可取代二极管的作用。
