The ADP151 is an ultralow noise, low dropout linear regulator that operates from 2.2 V to 5.5 V and provides up to 200 mA of output current. The low 140 mV dropout voltage at 200 mA load improves efficiency and allows operation over a wide input voltage range.

Using an innovative circuit topology, the ADP151 achieves ultralow noise performance without the necessity of a bypass capacitor, making it ideal for noise-sensitive analog and RF applications. The ADP151 also achieves ultralow noise per-formance without compromising PSRR or transient line and load performance. The low 265 μA of quiescent current at 200 mA load makes the ADP151 suitable for battery-operated portable equipment.

The ADP151 also includes an internal pull-down resistor on the EN input.

The ADP151 is specifically designed for stable operation with tiny 1 μF, ±30% ceramic input and output capacitors to meet the requirements of high performance, space constrained applications.

The ADP151 is capable of 16 fixed output voltage options, ranging from 1.1 V to 3.3 V.

Short-circuit and thermal overload protection circuits prevent damage in adverse conditions. The ADP151 is available in tiny 5-lead TSOT, 6-lead LFCSP, and 4-ball, 0.4 mm pitch, halide-free WLCSP packages for the smallest footprint solution to meet a variety of portable power application requirements.

Product Details

This product has individual evaluations boards at specific voltages or with specific features as well as the RedyKit&tm;. The RedyKit simplifies product evaluation by providing two assembled and tested evaluation boards, plus a full set of product (voltage) options for an IC regulator. All the IC options come sorted and stored in the kit with the Analog Devices part number clearly printed on each antistatic zip-top bag.

Simple device measurements such as line and load regulation, dropout, and ground current can be demonstrated with just a single voltage supply, a voltmeter, a current meter, and load resistors.

Product Details

In order to get the correct unpopulated evaluation board with an appropriate Bill of Materials and Schematic, you need to use the button for "Request Evaluation Board" from within the design tool. Make sure the design tool is in a state that matches your desired power requirements.

This will create a template email that will request from us the proper blank evaluation board for that ADI part and your application's power parameters.


Note: Some parts have multiple blank boards for high/low current or for different topologies (Boost, SEPIC, SEPIC-Cuk), while other blank boards support multiple ADI parts. This is why it is important to run the design tool with your parameters before making your email request from the tool.

ADP151 has an extremely low noise without the need for an external filter capacitor compared with counterparts of other firms, making it ideal for noise-sensitive analog circuits and RF stages. Moreover, the low noise level achieved without sacrificing ripple power attenuation (PSRR) or transient response to changes in input voltage and load current.

A integrated VCO was designed by me, and the evaluation board of VCO chip needs a 1.2V clean bias voltage with ultralow noise. Exactly, the ADP121 designed by ADI meets my requrements with 9uVrms noise voltage and adjustable output voltage of 1.1-3.3V. The product is most best product!

This product meets my requirements, and behaves good performance.
A integrated VCO was designed by me, and the evaluation board of VCO chip needs a 1.2V clean bias voltage with ultralow noise. Exactly, the ADP121 designed by ADI meets my requrements with 9uVrms noise voltage and adjustable output voltage of 1.1-3.3V. The product is most best product!

Excellent regulator chip
ADP151 chips have been working remarkably well in my prototype designs so far. The noise performance is the best I can find.
