Fully differential amplifiers from Analog Devices offer precision DC specs and are designed to better reject high frequency PSRR and CMRR through their differential input and output architectures. The differential input and output also offer system improvement by reducing the total harmonic distortion received by the ADC. Differential amplifiers allow the process of single-ended input to complementary differential outputs or differential inputs to differential outputs. These amplifiers offer low distortion to drive precision and high speed analog-to-digital converters (ADCs). Analog Devices fully differential amplifiers are configured for both precision and high speed and come with a VOCM pin, providing a critical but convenient solution when interfacing with analog-to-digital converters (ADCs). This provides a convenient solution when interfacing with ADCs. Differential outputs allow twice the output signal of conventional amplifiers, to get the most signal on low supplies.

Low Phase Noise amplifiers are critical for many applications requiring high signal integrity. This is especially relevant in instrumentation, defense, and telecommunication applications where low phase noise amplifiers are becoming increasingly important as the oscillators improve. Phase noise is described as the close-in noise to the carrier that can often appear as jitter on a clock signal. Analog Devices offers a large portfolio of low phase noise amplifiers to meet a variety of requirements in the LO network, receiver, as well as in the transmitter. Our portfolio supports a wide range of power levels and frequencies to provide the right solution for the given application.

Analog Devices power amplifiers are based in GaN and GaAs semiconductor technology spanning kilohertz to 95GHz. In addition to bare die and surface mount components, our portfolio also includes GaN-based power amplifier modules with output power exceeding 8 kW. Designed for excellent linearity at high output power, our power amplifiers maintain good heat dissipation and high reliability at elevated temperatures for a wide variety of wired and wireless applications. Many of the power amplifiers cover decades of bandwidths supporting instrumentation and military applications with a single IC. There are numerous narrowband products supporting both telecommunication and satellite communication links as well. The large selection of products offers the ability to choose the right product for the application.

RF amplifier bias controllers generate a regulated drain voltage and actively adjusts the gate voltage of an external amplifier to achieve constant bias current. It can be used to bias any enhancement and depletion type amplifier operating in Class-A regime with drain voltages (VDRAIN) as specified. These devices achieve excellent bias stability over supply, temperature and process variations, and eliminates the required calibration procedures used to prevent RF performance degradation due to such variations.

Analog Devices offers RF Front-End ICs for phased array antenna solutions. These RF Front-End ICs are placed right at the antenna element and can quickly switch between transmit and receive functions in radar applications. The power amplifier on the transmit side is highly efficient operating in short pulse durations. The low noise amplifier on the receive side has a low noise figure with high linearity so that it won’t distort the incoming return signal. The RF Front-End IC also incorporates a high performance switch to toggle between the transmit and receive paths. Highly integrated planar phased array antennae need small form factor solutions, and Analog Devices has integrated the switch, low noise amplifier, and power amplifier into a small surface mount package as well as the decoupling capacitors, providing an optimal solution.
