Mixed-Signal Front Ends (MxFE)
Mixed-Signal Front-End (MxFE®) devices are designed for wideband networking applications that span from home networks to communications infrastructure systems. These analog front-end (AFE) components are optimized to take advantage of smart partitioning by integrating amplifiers, filters, receive path data conversions (IF and RF a/d converters), and/or transmit path data conversions (IF and RF DACs). In some cases, they also integrate auxiliary data converters and other support functions, such as frequency up and downconversion, signal monitoring, and transmitter protection circuits capitalizing on efficient digital interfaces and wide configurability.
