USB Power Manager (PowerPath, Battery Charger)
Analog Devices’ USB Power Manager battery charging and management products utilize key battery charging features but also include a PowerPath circuit topology that enables managed power flow, allowing a load to be powered from both VIN and the battery, shorter charging times, instant-on operation (even with a dead battery), and offer more flexibility for the device designer. Both linear charging for simplicity, and switchmode for higher charging efficiency topologies are offered. Other key features of the USB Power Manager family include standalone operation with onboard charge termination, high voltage operation and thermal regulation.
