ADF7241是一款高集成度的低功耗、高性能收发器，在全球通用的2.4 GHz ISM频段工作。其设计注重灵活性、鲁棒性、易用性和低功耗特性。在数据包和数据流两种模式下，均支持IEEE 802.15.4-2006 2.4 GHz PHY要求。而且只需极少的外部元件，就能达到下列标准：FCC CFR47 Part 15、ETSI EN 300 440（2类设备）、ETSI EN 300 328 (FHSS, DR > 250 kb/s)、ARIB STD T-66。

ADF7241符合IEEE 802.15.4-2006 2.4 GHz PHY要求，可提供250 kbps的固定数据速率和DSSS-OQPSK调制功能。ADF7241的发射路径基于一个使用低噪声小数N分频RF频率合成器的直接闭环VCO调制方案。该VCO能够自动校准，工作频率是基频的两倍，因而可减少杂散发射并避免PA牵引效应。RF频率合成器的带宽自动针对发射和接收操作而优化，以实现最佳的相位噪声、调制质量和频率合成器建立时间性能。发射机输出功率可以在−20 dBm至+4 dBm范围内进行编程，且自动PA斜坡能力可满足瞬时杂散性能要求。该IC还集成一个偏置和控制电路，可大大简化与外部PA的接口。
