Zero-Drift Amplifiers

The zero-drift amplifiers from Analog Devices combine both auto-zero and a chopper to self-correct continuously for dc errors over time and temperature, enabling the amplifier to achieve microvolt-offsets and nanovolts per degree Celsius drift. By design, the zero-drift amplifier has no 1/f noise nor does it suffer from long-term drift.

These products reduce the need for calibration by reducing system noise, board space, and development time by providing on-chip electromagnetic interference filters to eliminate the need for collaboration circuitry. They accomplish all these parameters while controlling cost. As some examples, the new ADA4522-1, ADA4522-2, and ADA4522-4 are appropriate for applications requiring current sensing of electronic loads, power supplies, and motor control and offset correction in composite amplifiers used in instrumentation. ADA4522 Product Family

The ADA4522-1, ADA4522-2, ADA4522-4, zero-drift op amp family operates within a supply voltage range of 4.5 V to 55 V and exhibits noise performance that is at least 35 percent better than its closest competitor and provides the ease-of-use of a precision op amp with the ultra-low offset and drift of a zero-drift op amp.

ADIsimPE, which is powered by SIMetrix/SIMPLIS, is a circuit simulation suite optimized for the design and development of analog and mixed signal circuits. SIMetrix mode is ideal for the simulation of general non-switching circuits. It provides full Pspice compatibility for use with industry-standard SPICE models.
