The TMCM-1617 is a low-weight miniaturized single axis servo driver for 3-phase BLDC motors with up to 18A RMS motor current and +24V supply. With CAN, RS485, and EtherCAT® it offers various communication options. TMCM-1617 supports incremental encoders and digital hall sensors as position feedback. Housing is included for the standard modules, but customization options are possible.

All you need to get started is a power supply and ADI Trinamic's free and easy to use TMCL-IDE. This graphical user interface allows quick setup and supports the use of commands in direct mode, monitors real-time behavior visualized in graphs, and logs and stores data.

The TMCM-1617-BB is designed for evaluating all features of the TMCM-1617 servo driver. It comes with all required communication interface connectors and I/O headers. Motor power supply and motors can be connected via M4 screw terminals or screw terminal blocks. Digital supply is provided separately.

The TMCM-1617-GRIP-REF is an open-source hardware reference design for the TMCM-1617 BLDC servo driver. To be used in robotic gripper applications, the board is designed in a standard gripper electronics form-factor. It is able to control a BLDC motor via EtherCAT®, IO-Link®, or RS485 using ADI Trinamic's TMCL protocol. In addition, the board features 1 configurable analog output and 1 configurable analog input, using Maxim’s MAX22000 industrial configurable analog I0 device and 4 configurable digital input, digital outputs, using Maxim’s MAX14906 device.
