The ADA4522-1 / ADA4522-2 / ADA4522-4 are single/dual/quad channel, zero drift op amps with low noise and power, ground sensing inputs, and rail-to-rail output, optimized for total accuracy over time, temperature, and voltage conditions. The wide operating voltage and temperature ranges, as well as the high open-loop gain and very low dc and ac errors make the devices well suited for amplifying very small input signals and for accurately reproducing larger signals in a wide variety of applications.

The ADA4522-1 / ADA4522-2 / ADA4522-4 performance is specified at 5.0 V, 30 V, and 55 V power supply voltages. These devices operate over the range of 4.5 V to 55 V, and are excellent for applications using single-ended supplies of 5 V, 10 V, 12 V, and 30 V, or for applications using higher single supplies and dual supplies of ±2.5 V, ±5 V, and ±15 V. The ADA4522-1 /  ADA4522-2 / ADA4522-4 use on-chip filtering to achieve high immunity to electromagnetic interference (EMI).

The ADA4522-1 / ADA4522-2 / ADA4522-4 are fully specified over the extended industrial temperature range of −40°C to +125°C and are available in 8-lead MSOP, 8-lead SOIC, 14-lead SOIC, and 14-lead TSSOP packages.

Product Detail

The EVAL-ADA4522-2ARMZ allows the evaluation of the ADA4522-2, 8-lead, dual-channel, mini small outline package (MSOP) operational amplifier (op amp). Both channels of the ADA4522-2 in this evaluation board are configured in a noninverting amplifier with a gain of 101. The output has a low-pass filter with a cutoff frequency of approximately 117 kHz that minimizes the artifacts introduced by the 800 kHz chopping frequency of the ADA4522-2.

The flexible design of the evaluation board allows the user to create a multitude of configurations such as inverting and noninverting amplifier, difference amplifier, and second-order Sallen-Key filters. In addition, a combination of test points and edge mounted Subminiature Version A (SMA) connectors are used for the inputs and outputs for ease of use.

The evaluation board mainly consists of 0805 sized resistors and capacitors to ensure easy installation by the user, besides the bypass capacitors, C1 and C4. The 10 µF bypass capacitors (C1 and C4) have a package size of 2220 to accommodate a higher voltage rating because the ADA4522-2 has a maximum supply of 55 V.

Product Detail

Demonstration circuit 2677A is a reference design for robust industrial data acquisition applications for the LTC®2358-18. The LTC2358-18 is capable of high voltage measurements with a large input common range; however, the DC2677A implements input protection that allows up to 400V of continuous input protection. Combined with gas discharge tubes, which provide protection from surges, the DC2677A is capable of surviving extreme abuse.

This reference design includes the LTC2358-18 SAR ADC, ADA4522-2 dual zero-drift operational amplifier, and an LT6658 dual-output, high current reference for sensor excitation.

The digital interface is an HSMC (high-speed mezzanine connector), which is compatible with Altera Cyclone V SoCkit and other Altera FPGA evaluation boards that support 3.3V CMOS I/O.
