This demo shows a fully loaded network with time critical information synchronized spinning motor, operating seamlessly at either end while multiple other field instruments are connected and communicating across the same network. Factories today are capable of generating lots of data, but, without a seamless industrial connectivity solution, the ability to unlock insights from this data is lost. Time sensitive networking (TSN) is a critical enabler of the industrial digitalization strategy and is the focus of this demo.

A single network where both real-time, mission critical and non-real time data co-exist on a single network is enabled by TSN. Features include:

  • Seamless connectivity – Ethernet packets from edge to cloud removing the need for gateway translation IP Addressability of edge nodes enabling centralized, real-time control & management of process parameters from anywhere, anytime.
  • Lower Cost of Ownership – Reduces network complexity and removes the support cost & burden associated with multiple different connectivity solutions.
  • Reduce Waste– Reduce raw material usage through active management of process flows. Factories need to scale to a level that maximizes efficiency, economic return, flexibility and benefit to the environment.
