Mobile package and box dimensioning is critical to streamline logistics flows and provide more accurate billing. This demo shows how ADI's Time-Of-Flight technology enables box dimensioning using mobile handhelds in order to quickly and accurately dimension packages at their origin. The demo leverages ADIs megapixel time-of-flight imager the ADSD3100 as well as custom computer vision algorithms that leverage the imager high modulation frequency and other technical capabilities to produce accurate dimensions in all necessary environmental conditions, including high ambient lighting,. The dimensioning application runs embed (EVAL-ADSD3100-NXZ). The underlying technology has broad application to many uses cases beyond logistics where the industry leading resolution and modulation contrast set the ADSD3100 far apart from other time-of-flight sensors.
