成员包括ADSP21261、ADSP-21262、ADSP-21266、ADSP-21267、ADSP21363、ADSP-21364、ADSP-21365和ADS21366的第三代SHARC®处理器系列提供了更高的性能、以音频功能和应用为重点的外设以及能够支持最新环绕声解码器算法的新型存储器配置。这些器件的引脚彼此兼容,并与先前推出的SHARC处理器代码全兼容。这些SHARC处理器系列的最新成员基于一个单指令、多数据(SIMD)内核(该内核支持32位定点和32/40位浮点算术格式),从而使其成为高性能音频应用的较佳选择。在第三代SHARC处理器系列中,ADSP-21363提供了最高的性能 —— 333MHz/2GFLOPs。这种性能水平使得ADSP-21363尤其适合于满足许多通用信号处理应用不断提高的要求。
