Trusted Edge Security Architecture

Oct 21 2024

The Security solution of ADI called Trusted Edge Security Architecture is distributed as part of the CodeFusion studio. It provides flexibility, simplicity, and reduced time to market for the customers. Trusted Edge Security Architecture implements and integrates the Root of Trust services and ADI security solution which is becoming even more critical with increasing connectivity and regulations such as EU CRA. The example of root of trust services are secure boot, secure communication, secure storage, and crypto toolbox.

The current offering of the Trusted Edge Security Architecture provides flexibility to the ADI customer by providing out of the box integration with industry wide accepted crypto stacks such as mbedTLS, wolfSSL and PSA Crypto API. The variety of solutions allows ADI security solution to satisfy size, cost, and interoperability requirements of the target environment.

The Root of trust services today are provided in Compact Root of Trust format as standalone software solution on ADI MCUs and discrete secure element solution as explicit component. Regardless of the placement of the Root of Trust services the Security Foundation Layer of the Trusted Edge Security Architecture provides a common interface to the customer application which makes transition, and recertification seamless on the customer front.

The security offering contains boot, debug, and provisioning tools as part of CodeFusion Studio to accelerate the development and manufacturing flow of the customers.

The foundations of the security provided by the Trusted Edge Security Architecture enables ADI to move up in the stack and come up with solutions in higher level of the application stack.
