Overview

Product Details

The AD-FREQCVT1-EBZ is an add on board for the FMCOMMS3/4/5 boards which contain the AD9361. While the complete chip level design package can be found on the ADI product pages, information on the card, how to use it, the design package that surrounds it, and the software which can make it work, can be found on the analog wiki site.

The purpose of the AD-FREQCVT1-EBZ is frequency up or down conversion to allow the AD9361 to operate down to 1MHz.

Getting Started

To start using the AD-FREQCVT1-EBZ, you must already have the AD-FMCOMMS3-EBZ [or AD-FMCOMMS4-EBZ, AD-FMCOMMS5-EBZ] setup and running. First things first, you must connect the 3 pin keyed header on the AD-FMCOMMS3-EBZ board as shown on the wiki page. Then plug the power cable from the FMCOMMS3 to the FREQCVT1 and the pmod cable from the FPGA board port (indicated in the wiki) to the FREQCVT1 as shown in the picture on the wiki. Finally using male to male SMA adapters connect the SMAs between the FMCOMMS3 and FREQCVT1 boards and you are good to go.
