The TMC5072 cDriver™ is an integrated motor driver and motion controller solution for CCTV cameras, pumps and other automated equipment applications. The device has two integrated SixPoint™ ramp controllers, microstepping indexers, the sensorless stall detection technology StallGuard2™ and the completely noiseless current control mode StealthChop™ and is intended to drive two bipolar stepper motor. The output driver blocks consists of low RDSon N-Channel power MOSFETs configured as full H-bridges to drive the motor windings. The TMC5072 is capable of driving up to 1.5A of current from each output (with proper heatsinking). TMC5072 is designed for a supply voltage of 5 to 28V. For high reliability requirements an Encoder interface provides feedback over the system status. The device provides a SPI interface for configuration and diagnostics and a step and direction interface.

The TMC5072-EVAL allows you to explore all functions of the TMC5072-LA.

The TMC5072-EVAL-KIT is a set of one MCU board Landungsbruecke, an Eselsbruecke bridge board and one TMC5072-EVAL driver board. It allows for a quick and simple start within only minutes to make your motor turning, while still providing full access to all registers and full functionality and diagnostics.

For diagnosis, all signals between MCU and TMC5072 are accessible with probes on the Eselsbruecke bridge board. To simplify the transfer to your own processor platform the MCU board can be disconnected.

All you need to get started is a power supply and ADI Trinamic's free and easy to use TMCL-IDE. This graphical user interface allows quick setup and supports the use of commands in direct mode, monitors real-time behavior visualized in graphs, and logs and stores data. All settings can simply be exported for your own firmware project.
