The ADXL382 is a low noise density, low power, 3-axis accelerometer with selectable measurement ranges. The ADXL382 supports ±15 g, ±30 g, and ±60 g ranges.
The ADXL382 offers industry leading noise, enabling precision applications with minimal calibration. The low noise and low power of the ADXL382 enables accurate measurements of audio signals or heart sounds even in high vibration environments.
The ADXL382 multifunction pin names may be referenced only by their relevant function for either the serial peripheral interface (SPI) or inter-IC (I2C) interface, or these pin names can be referenced by their audio function (pulse density modulation (PDM), inter-IC sound (I2S), or time division multiplexing (TDM)).
In addition to its low power consumption, the ADXL382 has many features to enable true system level performance. These features include a built-in micropower temperature sensor, single tap, double tap, or triple tap detection, and a state machine to prevent false triggering. In addition, the ADXL382 has provisions for external control of the sampling time and/or an external clock.
The ADXL382 operates on a wide, 2.25 V to 3.6 V supply range (or 1.8 V supply) and can interface, if necessary, to a host operating on a separate supply voltage. The ADXL382 is available in a 14-terminal, 2.9 mm × 2.8 mm × 0.87 mm, LGA package.

EVAL-ADIS-MCBZ
EVAL-ADIS-MCBZ User Guide
Product Detail
This user guide provides an overview of using the EVAL-ADISMCBZ, including instructions for the motion capture board (MCB) hardware setup and software functions. The EVAL-ADIS-MCBZ supports a wide array of Analog Devices, Inc., sensor families (ADXL, ADIS, and ADXRS). It easily communicates with sensors and captures data by connecting the hardware to a PC and running the evaluation software. The graphical user interface (UI) of the software allows plotting and storing sensor data for postcapture analysis.

Evaluating the ADXL382 Low Noise, Low Power, Wide Bandwidth, 3-Axis MEMS Accelerometer
Product Detail
This user guide provides an overview of using the EVAL-ADXL382- BB-1Z (breakout board for the SPI variant of the ADXL382), EVAL-ADXL382-BB-2Z (breakout board for the I2C variant of the ADXL382), EVAL-ADXL382-EB-1Z (evaluation board for the SPI variant of the ADXL382), or EVAL-ADXL382-BB-2Z (evaluation board for the I2C variant of the ADXL382) evaluation board as a PC-based solution for evaluating the ADXL382 microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) accelerometer. These evaluation boards use the motion capture board (MCB) from the EVAL-ADIS-MCBZ platform for ease of communication and data collection using the graphical user interface (GUI). Go to the EVAL-ADIS-MCBZ web page to download the software and its user guide, which details the installation process and the software features. This user guide gives an overview of using one of the ADXL382 evaluation boards available, detailing their functionality with provided examples where relevant.
Figure 1 shows the required hardware components for the ADXL382 evaluation system. The EVAL-ADIS-MCBZ is the controller board that provides a means of communication with the EVALADXL382- BB-1Z, EVAL-ADXL382-BB-2Z, EVAL-ADXL382-EB-1Z, or EVAL-ADXL382-BB-2Z evaluation board from the PC.
