Product Details

The EVAL-ADIN1100EBZ is a flexible platform enabling quick evaluation of the ADIN1100 robust, low power 10BASE-T1L PHY. The EVAL-ADIN1100EBZ provides 10 Mbps single pair Ethernet (SPE) connections with devices across 1.7 km of cable.

The evaluation board offers two modes of operation for maximum flexibility. Connected to a PC via USB port, the full set of ADIN1100 register settings and features such as link quality monitoring and diagnostics can be accessed with the ADIN1100 GUI software.

Alternatively, the EVAL-ADIN1100EBZ board can operate in stand-alone mode where it is configured by setting hardware configuration links and switches. On-board LEDs provide status indication.

The ADIN1100 data (MII, RMII, and RGMII) and management (MDIO) interfaces are accessible on header connectors for easy connection to an external host controller.

A small prototyping area and test points are provided for experimentation with alternative cable connection topologies including isolation transformers and/or power coupling inductors.

The platform can perform as a 10BASE-T1L to 10BASE-T media converter. This feature enables connection to other devices (demonstration boards or custom prototypes) with a 10BASE-T1L Ether-net port and conversion of the data to standard Ethernet, which is accessible via the RJ45 connector.

Full details about the ADIN1100 are available in the ADIN1100 data sheet, which must be consulted when using the EVAL-ADIN1100EBZ.

The DEMO-ADIN1100D2Z is a media converter board that provides connection between a standard 10BASE-T RJ45 Ethernet port and a 10BASE-T1L device.

The DEMO-ADIN1100D2Z includes a power sourcing equipment (PSE) controller and it can power the connected 10BASE-T1L or advanced physical layer (APL) device. The PSE controller is configurable for power over data line (PoDL)/single pair power over Ethernet (SPoE) power Class 10, Class 11, Class 12, Class 13, Class 14, and Class 15, and APL power Class A, Class C, and Class 3.

The board requires an external DC power supply with output voltage and maximum output current relevant to the selected power class. For a subset of power classes (Class 10, APL A, and APL C), the board can also be powered from a USB host.

The board requires a minor modification and external power coupling inductors when used for the highest power Class 15 and APL 3.

The DEMO-ADIN1100D2Z can be used as an autonomous device, configurable by a set of switches and jumpers, indicating its status on LEDs.

The DEMO-ADIN1100D2Z can also be connected via USB to a host PC. The 10BASE-T1L link status, power status, and diagnostics are then accessible using a simple set of text commands and messages exchanged over the USB COM port interface using a serial terminal software on a PC.

Product Details

This user guide describes the ADIN6310 Field switch evaluation board with support for four 10BASE-T1L spur ports and two standard Gigabit capable Ethernet trunk ports. The hardware includes single-pair power over Ethernet (SPoE) LTC4296-1 circuit with optional serial communication classification protocol (SCCP) support. The default operation of the hardware is an unmanaged mode where the MAX32690 Arm Cortex-M4 microcontroller configures the switch into a basic switching mode and the PSE configured for Class 12 operation. Enhance the unmanaged switch operation by the DIP switch (S4), which provides ability to enable features such as time synchronization, LLDP, or IGMP snooping by default. Disable the PSE by using the DIP switch, default is enabled.

For more extensive switch evaluation, refer to the TSN switch evaluation package available from the ADIN6310 product page. This evaluation package provides ability to exercise the TSN functionality in addition to Redundancy features.

Product Details

The AD-T1LUSB2.0-EBZ is a board ready for use out-of-the-box to quickly control any system with a 10BASE-T1L interface. The current hardware configuration provides a straightforward architecture with a USB Ethernet Controller and MAC (LAN9500A) connected through MII to the ADIN1100 PHY.

The design also includes an EEPROM for saving and recalling MAC configurations and status LEDs to indicate link status (MAC) and user-programmable status flags from the PHY.

The AD-T1LUSB2.0-EBZ board does not require any configuration to be functional and ready for use.
