Beamformers & Vector Modulators
Analog Devices’ beamformers and vector modulators offer best-in-class performance with the highest
levels of integration for optimum scalability and antenna array simplification. Our beamformers integrate multiple channels, and each has independent phase and amplitude control in its transmit and receive paths, allowing the RF and microwave front end to electronically steer the antenna beams for an optimum transmission aiming pattern. The high level of integration enables systems, whether they are for communications, radar, electronic warfare, or radio, to deliver higher levels of performance in a smaller size while reducing system costs. The beamformer IC integrates additional functionality such as digital control circuitry, power detectors, on-chip memory, power management blocks, and more for a complete antenna steering solution.
Frequency Dividers & Multipliers
Analog Devices’ frequency dividers and frequency multipliers offer high performance, ultralow phase

Mixed Signal Front Ends (MxFE)
Mixed-signal front-end (MxFE®) products from Analog Devices offer a smart integration of RF
analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), RF digital-to-analog converters (DACs), on-chip digital signal processing, and clock/PLL for multichip synchronization. This allows for the elimination of discrete data converters and traditional RF front-end components to reduce size, weight, power, and cost. Integrated digital signal processing supports the transition to software-defined radio platforms, creating a highly configurable, common hardware/software platform that can be used in multiple applications across a broad array of end markets.
Modulators & Demodulators
Analog Devices offers broadband and narrowband modulators and demodulators with excellent dynamic
range, suitable for zero IF (ZIF) designs. ADI’s modulators and demodulators are commonly used for direct downconversion designs for point to point radio designs, test and measurement instrumentation applications.
Oscillators
Analog Devices offers a broad portfolio of oscillators ranging from voltage-controlled oscillators
(VCO) with excellent phase noise performance, wideband options, and multiple output choices, to silicon oscillators with programmable frequencies via pin-strapping, resistor connections, or serial interfaces (SPI or I2C). Silicon oscillators are solid-state clocks that are well-suited for general purposes, such as PGAs, ASICs, and microprocessors while also being ideal for switching regulator clocking as they provide synchronization and EMI reduction (via spread spectrum).
Phase Shifters
