包括ADSP-21261、ADSP-21262、ADSP-21266、ADSP-21267、ADSP-21363、ADSP-21364、ADSP-21365及ADSP-21366在内的第三代SHARC®处理器可提供增强的性能、面向音频与应用的外设,以及能够支持环绕声解码器算法的存储器配置。所有器件均引脚兼容,并与以往的所有SHARC处理器完全代码兼容。这些SHARC处理器系列产品基于单指令多数据(SIMD)内核,支持32位定点以及32/40位浮点算法格式,特别适合高性能音频应用。
在第三代SHARC处理器系列产品中,ADSP-21362具有333MHz/2GFLOPs的高性能,这使得ADSP-21362特别适合于满足专业与汽车音频市场领域日益增长的需求。除了更高的内核性能外,ADSP-21362还提供其它增值外设,包括S/PDIF发送器/接收器、八通道异步采样速率转换器,以及硬件数字传输内容保护(DTCP)加密/解密模块。
第三代SHARC处理器还集成了专用外设,以简化硬件设计、减小设计风险,并最终缩短上市时间。组合在一起的功能模块被称作数字音频接口(DAI),这些功能模块可以互相连接,或通过软件编程的信号路由单元(SRU)连接到外部引脚。SRU是一种创新的架构特性,能够在DAI模块间实现完整且灵活的路由。通过SRU连接的外设包括但不限于串行端口、SPI端口、S/PDIF Tx/Rx、DTCP加速器,以及八通道异步采样速率转换器模块。
