The AD260 is designed using Analog Devices new IsoLogic circuit architecture to isolate five digital control signals to/ from a microcontroller and its related field I/O components. Six models allow all I/O combinations from five input lines to five output lines, including combinations in between. Every AD260 effectively replaces up to five opto-isolators while also providing the 1.5 W transformer for a 3.5 kV isolated dc-dc power supply circuit.
"AD260 and AD261 has been evaluated and has successfully demonstrated to be compatible with standard 500F (260C) wavesolder processes."
Wavesoldering:
The AD260 and AD261 has been evaluated and demonstrated to be able to withstand the typical 500 degree Fahrenheit (260 degrees Celsius) wave solder processes that are common for board assemblies using traditional Sn63/Pb37 (tin/lead) solder. As the AD260/AD261 is manufactured from an assembled board process, high temperature wavesolder processes that use wave solder pot temperatures in excess of 505F (262.8C) should be avoided.
Aqueous Cleaning:
The AD260/261 has been evaluated for and have been found to be compatible with typical de-ionized aqueous cleaning processes.
Solvent-Based Immersion Cleaning:
The AD260/261 has not been evaluated for compatibility with solvent-based and immersion type cleaning processes. The AD260/261 package is not hermetically sealed and consequently, solvent-based and immersion type cleaning processes may have the potential of causing solvent/contamination entrapment.
The capability of the AD260/261 with these unique solvent-based cleaning systems would require evaluation individual process basis.
