The TMC5041 cDriver™ is an integrated motor driver and motion controller solution for CCTV cameras, pumps and other automated equipment applications. The device has two integrated SixPoint™ ramp controllers, microstepping indexers, the sensorless stall detection technology StallGuard2™ and the completely noiseless current control mode StealthChop™ and is intended to drive two bipolar stepper motor. The output driver blocks consists of low RDSon N-Channel power MOSFETs configured as full H-bridges to drive the motor windings. The TMC5041 is capable of driving up to 1.5A of current from each output (with proper heatsinking). TMC5041 is designed for a supply voltage of 5 to 28V. The device provides a SPI interface for configuration and diagnostics and a step and direction interface.

Evaluation Kits (2)
The TMC5041 breakout board is a development board with the dedicated TMC5041-LA chip. It is designed to give users the chance to rapidly prototype their applications - making it possible to immediately check how the motor performs with TMC chips while developing the application's software.
Features & Benefits
- TMC5041-LA dual stepper driver and controller
- Supply voltage 5-26V, Iphase,RMS up to 2x1.1A
- Configuration and control via SPI
- Use off-board electrolyte cap with your supply
- 1x incremental encoder input per motor axis
- Board width 1.0", board height 1.4"
- 2x14 pin 0.1" header rows for pins/connectors
The TMC5041-EVAL allows you to explore all functions of the TMC5041-LA.
The TMC5041-EVAL-KIT is a set of one MCU board Landungsbruecke, an Eselsbruecke bridge board and one TMC5041-EVAL driver board. It allows for a quick and simple start within only minutes to make your motor turning, while still providing full access to all registers and full functionality and diagnostics.
For diagnosis, all signals between MCU and TMC5041 are accessible with probes on the Eselsbruecke bridge board. To simplify the transfer to your own processor platform the MCU board can be disconnected.
All you need to get started is a power supply and ADI Trinamic's free and easy to use TMCL-IDE. This graphical user interface allows quick setup and supports the use of commands in direct mode, monitors real-time behavior visualized in graphs, and logs and stores data. All settings can simply be exported for your own firmware project.
