The MAX30210 operates from 1.7V to 2.0V supply voltage, and is a low-power, high-accuracy digital temperature sensor with ±0.1°C accuracy from +20°C to +50°C and ±0.15°C accuracy from -20°C to +85°C. The MAX30210 has a 16-bit resolution (0.005°C).

The device uses a standard I2C serial interface to communicate with a host controller. There are four functional I/Os. Those functions include a dedicated interrupt pin, a shared external convert and power-down functional pin, and two target address select pins.

The MAX30210 includes a 64-word FIFO for the temperature data and also includes high and low threshold digital temperature alarms along with FIFO full alert. The device is available in a 0.968mm x 0.968mm x 0.5mm, 9-pin WLP package.

Product Detail

The MAX30210 evaluation kit (EV kit) provides a single platform to evaluate the MAX30210, a ±0.1°C accurate temperature sensor. The EV kit consists of two boards which are connected through headers, a MAX32630FTHR microcontroller board, and the MAX30210 interface board. It also included with the EV kit is a flex PCB which holds the MAX30210 IC. The MAX32630FTHR contains the firmware necessary to use the PC GUI program and provides power to the MAX30210 interface board. The MAX30210 interface board ships with jumpers preinstalled to allow quick evaluation of the MAX30210.

Product Detail

The EV-STRUCTURAL-ARDZ is a vibration sensor that uses the ADXL343 digital output MEMS accelerometer chip and the ADIS16203 programmable 360° inclinometer. Aside from providing vibration data, this sensor node also features the MAX30210 digital temperature sensor which gives the option to shut down sensitive machines and equipment for smart motor sensing applications.

The on-board inclinometer can be used to detect if the horizontal position of the sensor changes, which points towards a collapse of the structure where the sensor was deployed.
