The ADA4891-1 (single), ADA4891-2 (dual), ADA4891-3 (triple), and ADA4891-4 (quad) are CMOS, high speed amplifiers that offer high performance at a low cost. The amplifiers feature true single-supply capability, with an input voltage range that extends 300 mV below the negative rail.
In spite of their low cost, the ADA4891 family provides high performance and versatility. The rail-to-rail output stage enables the output to swing within 50 mV of each rail, enabling maximum dynamic range.
The ADA4891 family of amplifiers is ideal for imaging applications, such as consumer video, CCD buffers, and contact image sensor buffers. Low distortion and fast settling time also make them ideal for active filter applications.
The ADA4891-1/ADA4891-2/ADA4891-3/ADA4891-4 are available in a wide variety of packages.
The ADA4891-1 is available in 8-lead SOIC and 5-lead SOT-23 packages.
The ADA4891-2 is available in 8-lead SOIC and 8-lead MSOP packages.
The ADA4891-3 and ADA4891-4 are available in 14-lead SOIC and 14-lead TSSOP packages.
The amplifiers are specified to operate over the extended temperature range of −40°C to +125°C.Applications
- Consumer video
- Active filters
- Coaxial cable drivers
- Clock buffers
- Photodiode preamp
- Contact image sensor and buffers

Evaluation Kits (1)
The Universal Dual High Speed Amplifier Evaluation Boards are bare boards that enables users to quickly prototype a variety of amplifier circuits, which minimizes risk and reduces time to market. These boards are all RoHs Compliant. See ordering guide below on what board to order by lead count and package.
Tools & Simulations
LTspice® is a powerful, fast and free simulation software, schematic capture and waveform viewer with enhancements and models for improving the simulation of analog circuits.
Models for the following parts are available in LTspice:
For double amplifiers applications use the <a href="http://www.analog.com/ADA4891-2">ADA4891-2</a>, for triple use the <a href="http://www.analog.com/ADA4891-3">ADA4891-3</a>, and for quad use <a href="http://www.analog.com/ADA4891-4"> ADA4891-4</a>
ADIsimPE, which is powered by SIMetrix/SIMPLIS, is a circuit simulation suite optimized for the design and development of analog and mixed signal circuits. SIMetrix mode is ideal for the simulation of general non-switching circuits. It provides full Pspice compatibility for use with industry-standard SPICE models. SIMPLIS (SIMulation Piecewise-Linear System) mode simulates the operation of switching circuits with vastly improved robustness, speed, and accuracy compared to standard SPICE. It is particularly useful for switching power supply, PLLs, and ADC/DAC applications.
Use the Analog Filter Wizard to design low-pass, high-pass, or band-pass filters with actual op amps in minutes. As you progress through the design process, you can observe the characteristics of your filter design from ideal specifications to real world circuit behavior. Quickly evaluate the tradeoffs in op amp specifications - including gain-bandwidth, noise, and supply current – to determine the best filter design for your requirements.
ADI has always placed the highest emphasis on delivering products that meet the maximum levels of quality and reliability. We achieve this by incorporating quality and reliability checks in every scope of product and process design, and in the manufacturing process as well. "Zero defects" for shipped products is always our goal.
