Celebrating 25 years of ADI at BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition
For 25 years in partnership with BT, Analog Devices has been a key Gold sponsor of the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition (BTYSTE) in Dublin every January. This support has been underpinned each year by a 25+ person team, who represent ADI and demonstrate some of the fundamental concepts of science and technology to the next generation of engineers and technologists. For junior ADI employees, the experience of BTYSTE is one to remember, an opportunity to learn, inspire, and build friendships with their ADI Ireland colleagues. ADI has always been passionate about STEM education and our role in supporting the communities where we work. The continued support of BTYSTE is a great example of this commitment and we look forward to continuing this journey into the future.
Awards—What Awards We Sponsor and Why
At the BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition (BTYSTE), Analog Devices is very proud to sponsor two separate awards, one for the student with the best project in the technology category and one for the educator of the year, who has gone above and beyond to support STEM in the classroom. These awards are very important to ADI as they show our appreciation for the continued STEM education and focus on technology in Ireland by schools. If we are to inspire future engineers, we need teachers to instill this desire at a young age. Similarly, if we are to empower our students to reach their full potential, we must always acknowledge their great work and achievements. The student winner each year always embodies the entrepreneurship, innovation, and ahead of what’s possible mindset that has allowed ADI to be successful for half a century. The support for these awards and BTYSTE as a whole, is one of many ways ADI is engaging the engineers of tomorrow.

ADI is involved in sustainable energy by designing energy metering ICs such as ADE9153A—a highly accurate, single-phase, energy metering IC with autocalibration used in smart power distributions. This year’s green table features an interactive information hub that highlights how ADI’s technology plays a crucial role in bringing the green table to life, supporting the growing focus on achieving Carbon Zero in today’s society.
Reaction Game
Step into the exhilarating realm of our Time Reaction Game, where every moment counts! This cutting-edge electronic project is designed to ignite your senses and challenge your response time. Imagine a world where precision meets excitement, and your reflexes are put to the ultimate test. Our Time Reaction Game is not just a project—it’s an immersive experience that blends technology, fun, and skill development. In this game, players face a series of time-sensitive challenges, requiring swift and accurate responses to visual cues.
Digital Circuits
No, your smartphone does not work with miniaturized hamsters! Imagine an extremely tiny piece of jelly that contains millions of tiny and cleverly laid-out metal pieces. This structure, along with hundreds of similar structures, creates the backbone for technologies like the iPhone. Now, this cleverly laid out metal piece is one of the most fundamental items to create ADI’s technologically advanced systems and is called a digital circuit. Embrace the world of 0s and 1s with this basic demonstration of digital circuits. This demo will let you experience a snapshot of what it is like to be a digital designer at ADI.
Memory Game
Dive into a brain-boosting adventure with the Memory Game, designed to test and enhance your cognitive skills. This interactive game uses cutting-edge technology to create challenging patterns, pushing your memory and focus to new limits. Explore the behind-the-scenes of how hardware and software work together to bring this engaging challenge to life. This game involves the reading, storing, and processing of information from the real world to enable rapid decision-making. This forms a building block in ADI’s cutting edge technologies, such as in the development of self-driving cars and Artificial Intelligence. Whether you’re a tech enthusiast or just love a good mental workout, the Memory Game promises fun, education, and inspiration. Ready to put your brain to the test?
Robot Race
Ready, set, go! Dive into the world of cutting-edge robotics at our interactive demonstration featuring two intelligent robots in action! Equipped with AI-enabled cameras, these robots can detect coloured objects and autonomously follow them around a racetrack. Explore how AI allows the cameras to interpret the real world, how a microcontroller like the Arduino enables precise control, and how advanced connectivity ensures seamless operation—core concepts powering the future of robotics and self-driving vehicles. Discover how core competencies like connect, control and interpret are shaping advancements in automation, AI, and electric vehicles. Once you've mastered the tech, take the wheel (virtually!) and race the robots to the finish line. Will you emerge as the champion?
