Electric motor and solenoid driving circuits and the devices themselves create a challenging environment for operation of current monitoring circuits, with large common mode voltage shifts, fast switching currents and large voltage spikes. Many traditional circuits used to monitor current have difficulty rejecting the switching voltages and noise. The LT1999 was designed to be easily designed into these tough environments, rejecting circuit noise and providing accurate current information.
