400 MHz TO 1.2 GHz Active Receive Mixer
The AD8344 is a highly integrated SiGe active mixer optimized for receiver path down conversion. The input range spans from 400MHz to 1.2GHz allowing the part to be used in a broad range of applications including CDMA, GSM and TETRA infrastructure equipment.
The AD8344 provides a single ended 50W input impedance, on both the RF and LO input ports. An integrated LO driver allows for LO drive level, typically 0dBm.
The AD8344 can be optimized for power consumption and linearity through an external bias resistor connected to the EXRB pin. The AD8344 is specified for operation of a single +5V supply, consuming only 84mA, and 500µA in power down mode.
The AD8344 is fabricated on a high performance SiGe process. The device is packaged in a space saving 3mm x 3mm 16-lead LFCSP and fully specified over -40°C to +85°C temperature range.
Samples and evaluation boards, part number AD8344-EVAL, are available.

This product has been released to the market. The data sheet contains all final specifications and operating conditions. For new designs, ADI recommends utilization of these products.
AD8344-EVAL is a fully populated, 4-layer, FR4-based evaluation board. It requires a 5 V/100 mA power supply for normal operation. The 5 V power supply should be connected to the clip leads VPOS and COMMON. RF INPUT and LO INPUT ports take RF and LO input signals via edge-mounted SMA connectors. The IF port, labeled IF_OUT+, is configured for single-ended signaling via a balun transformer.
