Low Cost, Single, 300 MHz Voltage Feedback Amplifier
The AD8055 (single) voltage feedback amplifier offers bandwidth and slew rate typically found in current feedback amplifiers. Additionally, this amplifier is easy to use and available at a very low cost.
Despite its low cost, the AD8055 provides excellent overall performance. For video applications, its differential gain and phase error is 0.01% and 0.02° into a 150 W load, and 0.02% and 0.1° while driving four video loads (37.50 W).
Its 0.1 dB flatness out to 40 MHz, wide bandwidth out to 300 MHz, along with 1400 V/µs slew rate and 20 ns settling time, make them useful for a variety of high-speed applications.
The AD8055 requires only 5 mA typ/amplifier of supply current and operates on a dual ±5 V or single +12 V power supply, while capable of delivering over 60 mA of load current. The AD8055 is available in a small 8-lead PDIP, 8-lead SOIC, and 5-lead SOT-23 packages. These features make the AD8055 ideal for portable and battery powered applications where size and power are critical. This amplifier in the R-8, N-8 and RM-8 packages are available in the extended temperature range of -40°C to +125°C.

This evaluation board is designed to help users evaluate the AD8055. The evaluation board is a bare board: there are no components or amplifiers soldered to the board. These parts must be obtained separately from the table below or on the product page. Free samples may also be requested. The unpopulated board enables users to quickly customize and prototype a variety of op amp circuits, which minimizes risk and reduces time to market.
The User Guide contains all the required documentation to build the board, including schematics, assembly drawing, and Bill of Materials.
The Universal Single High Speed Amplifier Evaluation Boards are bare boards that enable users to quickly prototype a variety of amplifier circuits, which minimizes risk and reduces time to market. These boards are all RoHs Compliant. See ordering guide below on what board to order by lead count and package.
ADI has always placed the highest emphasis on delivering products that meet the maximum levels of quality and reliability. We achieve this by incorporating quality and reliability checks in every scope of product and process design, and in the manufacturing process as well.
