FINANCIAL TIMES: FUTURE OF THE CAR 2021

The automotive industry is at an inflection point, experiencing its first revolution since Henry Ford’s invention of the assembly line made vehicle ownership possible for all. Today, advances in autonomy, digital cabin experience, and electrification are driving an excitement in the industry not felt for decades. Consumers have picked up on this, with new sales of electric vehicles expected to grow at 23% annually between 2018 and 2030 (World Economic Forum). Patrick Morgan, ADI VP of Automotive, joined panels of experts from across the automotive ecosystem at the 2021 Financial Times Future of the Car event to discuss trends shaping the future automotive, including electrification, battery electronics, and the connected vehicle.
