General Manager of BMS, ADI
IMPACT ON INDUSTRY, ENVIRONMENT, AND GLOBAL HEALTH
A common misconception among the average consumer is that electric vehicles are not high performance and could never match the performance being delivered by combustion engines. Together, ADI and RIMAC have demolished this fallacy, and today are helping to redefine what high performance electric vehicles are capable of achieving. The RIMAC C Two high performance hypercar, tapping into ADI’s high performance BMS, boasts an amazing 1914 horsepower, an acceleration of 0 to 60 mph in 1.85 seconds, and a top speed of 258 mph.
ADI and RIMAC have not only set a precedent for the high performance community, but helped to ignite consumer excitement, as well as the user adoption rate of both high performance electric vehicles and electric vehicles overall.
According to the World Health Organization, air pollution is a silent killer, responsible for 4.2 million deaths each year, while reducing life expectancy by 1.8 years. Through our work with RIMAC and other electrical vehicle providers, ADI is not only breaking down barriers but enabling a cleaner and more sustainable environment through the reduction of carbon emissions.
As part of our continuing effort to create a greener environment and improve the health of people across the globe, Analog Devices’ BMS products saved 60 million tons of CO2 from entering the atmosphere in 2019, and will continue to reduce CO2 vehicle emissions by 30% year over year. To put that into perspective, 60 million tons of CO2 is equivalent to approximately 70 million acres of mature forest.
