The ADD8502 is an integrated, high-accuracy, programmable grayscale generator. Two sets of five reference voltages are mask programmed to 0.2 percent resolution, allowing designers to optimize color characteristics of the LCD panel. The outputs feature fast, high drive, low power amplifiers that settle quickly during load change. Two serially addressable 10-bit DACs are used to minimize flicker and set endpoint references for the gamma range. Two modes of Power Save can reduce total current to less than 1 µA, and recovery time out of sleep mode is as low as 10us.

The ADD8502 is offered in a 24-Lead 4.0x4.0mm LFCSP package and operates over the extended industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
