Product Details

The ADAF1080 is a single-axis, high-precision, magnetic-field sensor with integrated signal conditioning. The device incorporates an anisotropic magnetoresistive (AMR) sensor with an integrated signal- conditioning amplifier, electrical-offset cancellation capabilities, integrated diagnostics, and an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) driver for precise measurement of magnetic fields up to ±8 mT.

The ADAF1080 consists of two die within one package, an AMR sensor, and an application-specific IC (ASIC). The ADAF1080 provides a precision amplified output signal that is proportional to the magnetic field strength along the sensitive axis of the sensor. The output voltage is ratiometric to the supply voltage with a common mode of half the voltage set on the external VSET input pin.

The magnetic orientation of the sensor can be defined through the use of an integrated flip coil that can be used for electrical-offset cancellation in the presence of a constant magnetic field. Diagnostics can be carried out through the use of an integrated diagnostic coil, which can measure the gain of the system or detect a magnetic saturation event.

The ADAF1080 is available in a 20-lead LFCSP with an exposed pad.
