Class-D Audio Amplifiers

Analog Devices’ Class-D audio amplifiers deliver audiophile-level performance with some of the lowest power consumption and lowest distortion in the industry—enabling us to bring big, high quality sound to small, battery-powered earbuds and headphones, as well as larger AC powered speakers.

ADI is a leader in audio signal processing, with proven analog and digital technologies backing our diverse portfolio of Class-D amplifiers. This portfolio encompasses applications from headphones to over 60 W of output power, with support for high resolution sample rates. Many of our amplifiers include ultrasound capability for proximity sensing and other use cases. ADI amplifier products can be found in many high volume consumer products where only the most pristine audio quality will do. Applications include true wireless earbuds, Bluetooth® headphones, bone-conduction headphones, headphone amplifiers, smart speakers, wireless speakers, soundbars, and virtual and augmented reality (VR and AR) head-mounted displays.

Additional Class-D amplifiers technologies include:

  • Plug and play ease of use
  • Smart amp IV sense
  • On-board DSP
  • Full signal chain solutions delivered via software development environments
  • On-board boost
  • 45 kHz ultrasound pass band
