The ADRF5024 is a single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) silicon switch operating from 100 MHz to 44 GHz.
This switch offers low insertion loss of 1.4 dB at 40 GHz, and high isolation of 36 dB at 40 GHz. The through path and hot switching both have a high power handling capability of 27 dBm.
The ADRF5024 draws a low current of 14uA on the positive supply of +3.3 V and -120uA on negative supply of -3.3 V. This switch also provides CMOS/LVTTL logic-compatible control. The ADRF5024 is pin-compatible with the ADRF5025, the low frequency cutoff version, which operates from 9 kHz to 44 GHz.
For ultrawideband surface mount technology (SMT), impedance matching on the RF transmission lines can improve insertion loss and return loss performance.
The ADRF5024 comes in a 2.25 mm × 2.25 mm, 12-lead land grid array (LGA) package.

This product is new and engineering validation may still be underway. Quantities may be limited and design specifications may change while we ready the product for release to production.
For normal operation, two supply voltages +3.3V and -3.3V should be applied to the VDD and VSS test points respectively, while their ground voltages are connected to the GND test point. Control input voltage, 0V or +3.3V, should be applied to the CTRL test point to select the switch state between RFC-RF1 and RFC-RF2.
The RF input signal can be applied at the edge-launch, 2.4 mm RF connector labeled RFC and the RF output signals can be measured at the edge-launch, 2.4 mm connectors labeled RF1 and RF2.
ADI has always placed the highest emphasis on delivering products that meet the maximum levels of quality and reliability. We achieve this by incorporating quality and reliability checks in every scope of product and process design, and in the manufacturing process as well. "Zero defects" for shipped products is always our goal.
