The AD8655/AD8656 are the industry’s lowest noise, precision CMOS amplifiers. They leverage the Analog Devices DigiTrim® technology to achieve high dc accuracy.

The AD8655/AD8656 provide low noise (2.7 nV/√Hz at 10 kHz), low THD + N (0.0007%), and high precision performance (250 μV max over VCM) to low voltage applications. The ability to swing rail-to-rail at the input and output enables designers to buffer analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) and other wide dynamic range devices in single-supply systems.

The high precision performance of the AD8655/AD8656 improves the resolution and dynamic range in low voltage applications. Audio applications, such as microphone pre-amps and audio mixing consoles, benefit from the low noise, low distortion, and high output current capability of the AD8655/AD8656 to reduce system level noise performance and maintain audio fidelity. The high precision and rail-to-rail input and output of the AD8655/ AD8656 benefit data acquisition, process controls, and PLL filter applications.

The AD8655/AD8656 are fully specified over the −40°C to +125°C temperature range. The AD8655/AD8656 are available in Pb-free, 8-lead MSOP and SOIC packages. The AD8655/ AD8656 are both available for automotive applications.

I am using this preamp as a microphone preamp in a Zoom digital recorder to replace the rather generic preamp they have chosen to use. The resulting noise that the AD8656 is almost non existent now! I am glad I took the time to try the AD8656 and hand install it. I plan on purchasing more and using these on other preamp designs I have planned.

A good new product
It is realy a good new product though I have not made full use of the IC. I use this opamp in a simple circuit for amplifier of my headphomne. It works good and I find the music played by the amplifier is transperant, clear and strong. There seems a lack of warm but I do not try more time to verify. Maybe the other days. Thank you, Analog Devices.

I had a very good application support from ADI
I have trouble to use the AD7746 chip and have questions regarding to the chip timing issue when I was trying to do the design, the client service in ADI is Nice and thoughtful, they help me get connected to the FAE and the application engineer really did a good job to identified the problem. I will definitely recommend ADI when the product became mass production.

This product is very interesting
All products are interesting enough, but often the cost for mass use is high. Alternatives for high-precision applications of this product virtually none.

Great for HP output driver
We use AD8656 as HP output driver for our demo system. Its performance is great. THD is great for audio design. As DAC output is 500Ksps, so the HP amp need higher performance than regular audio amp.
