Charge Pump circuits are used to generate higher voltages from low voltage inputs, using capacitors as storage elements. Thus a 5 V input can be used to generate a 10 V or even 15 V output. The provision of these higher voltages is critical in many low voltage applications such as notebook PCs, mobile phone cables and mobile phone display panels.
