MLVDS: INDUSTRY'S FIRST MULTIPOINT LVDS TRANSCEIVERS WITH 8KV IEC ESD

The recently released family of ADN469xE MLVDS transceivers are the industry's first MLVDS transceivers with 8kV IEC ESD protection on the bus pins. They were developed to provide low EMI, robust, high speed differential signaling transceivers capable of multipoint communication at speeds up to 200Mbps (100MHz) in order to increase reliability and application robustness for card/ cable insertion and removal, while meeting the timing performance needed in these high speed applications.

Receiver Type
  • Type 1: Symmetrical Rx Input Threshold
    Ideal for better timing performance for clocks...
  • Type 2: Rx Input Threshold is offset to -100mV
    Provides failsafe (known state on Rx output) for open & bus-idle failsafe, ideal for data applications.
Full Duplex or Half Duplex
  • Full Duplex: Can receive and transmit at the same time (like talking face-to-face) on 2 different differential pairs.
  • Half Duplex: Can only receive or transmit at any one time (like a walkie-talkie) but uses the same differential pair.
