Gain Blocks

Gain blocks are general-purpose broadband amplifiers that operate from low frequencies up to 6 GHz. All devices are 50 Ω internally matched with integrated internal bias circuitry, therefore minimizing the need for external components. Note that the 10 dB separation rule between P1dB and OIP3 no longer applies due to internal linearization circuitry. ADI’s gain blocks are fully ESD rated at 1 kV Class 1C or higher, and are available in the smallest footprint LFCSP packaging as well as in the industry standard SOT-89 package.

  • AD8353: 1 MHz to 2.7 GHz RF Gain Block
  • AD8354: 1 MHz to 2.7 GHz RF Gain Block
  • ADL5541: 50 MHz to 6 GHz RF/IF Gain Block, Gain of 15 dB
  • ADL5542: 50 MHz to 6 GHz RF/IF Gain Block, Fixed Gain of 20 dB
  • ADL5601: 50 MHz to 4.0 GHz RF/IF Gain Block
  • ADL5602: 50 MHz to 4.0 GHz RF/IF Gain Block

Driver Amplifiers

ADI’s driver amplifier family offers the highest linearity for a given output power to enable low distortion and high output drive directly to the power amplifier stages. This family offers unprecedented flexibility with both narrow- and broadband solutions that incorporate internal active biasing. The narrowband parts are also internally matched to further reduce the external component count. The broadband drivers enable the user to tune the amplifier with a minimal number of external components to a desired frequency range with industry-leading linearity and minimal current consumption. Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs)

As the first amplifier in the receive path, the LNA is a critical component in defining overall system performance and must be able to successfully amplify very low level signals without adding a significant amount of noise. ADI’s LNA family sets an industry performance benchmark by operating from 400 MHz to 4 GHz while achieving a low noise figure with the optimum amount of gain and current consumption. The new LNA family includes integrated active bias circuitry, requires minimal external matching components, and is available in the smallest footprint LFCSP packaging.

  • ADL5521: 400 MHz to 4000 MHz Low Noise Amplifier
  • ADL5523: 400 MHz to 4000 MHz Low Noise Amplifier

Intermediate Frequency Amplifiers (IFAs)

Designed to operate in the IF frequency range typically below 500 MHz, ADI’s family of single- and dual-channel IFAs are fully specified and characterized to support applications across he most commonly used IF frequencies of 70 MHz, 140 MHz, 240 MHz, and 380 MHz. The new IFA amplifier family provides the highest linearity specifications and is supplied within the smallest footprint LFCSP packaging. Furthermore, ADI’s IFAs integrate active bias circuitry, require minimal external matching components, and support 1 kV Class 1C ESD. Find one that suits your design needs here:

  • ADL5530: DC to 1000 MHz IF Gain Block
  • ADL5531: 20 MHz to 500 MHz IF Gain Block
  • ADL5534 (Dual): 20 MHz to 500 MHz IF Amplifier

Power Amplifiers

A RF power amplifier converts a low-power radio frequency signal into a larger signal of significant power, typically for driving the antenna of a transmitter. ADI’s power amplifiers are optimized to have industry-leading efficiency, output power compression (P1dB), return loss on the input and output, gain and heat dissipation.
