Maxim’s Z86L73/Z86L87/Z86L89/Z86L987 are ROM-based members of the infrared (IR) microcontroller family. With 237 bytes of general-purpose RAM and 16/24/32/64KB of ROM, Maxim's CMOS microcontrollers offer fast execution, efficient use of memory, sophisticated interrupts, input/output bit manipulation capabilities, automated pulse generation/reception, and internal key-scan pullup transistors.
