Product Details
The MAX17227A is a nanoPower boost converter capable of delivering load up to 2A peak inductor current and offering True Shutdown™, cycle-by-cycle inductor current limit, short-circuit, and thermal protection. During shutdown, current drawn from the input pin is 1nA. The MAX17227A offers ultra-low quiescent current, small total solution size, and high efficiency throughout the load and line range. The MAX17227A is ideal for battery-powered applications where long battery life is a must and high efficiency is required at all power levels.
The MAX17227A utilizes adjustable on-time, pulse-frequency-modulation (PFM) control scheme that consumes
ultra-low quiescent current. The MAX17227A features True Shutdown mode where the output disconnects from
the input with no forward or reverse-current. This saves precious energy from the battery for systems that dynamically turn on and off by having the ability to startup into a precharged output capacitor.
The MAX17227A is offered in a space-saving and costeffective 1.58mm x 0.89mm, 6-bump WLP (3 x 2, 0.4mm
pitch) and 8-pin, 2mm x 2mm TDFN packages. The operating temperature range is from -40°C to +125°C.
