The LTM8024 is 40VIN, dual 3.5A or single 7A step-down Silent Switcher µModule® regulator. The Silent Switcher architecture minimizes EMI while delivering high efficiency at frequencies up to 3MHz. Included in the package are the controllers, power switches, inductors, and support components. Operating over a wide input voltage range, the LTM8024 supports output voltages from 0.8V to 8V, and a switching frequency range of 200kHz to 3MHz, each set by a single resistor. Only the bulk input and output filter capacitors are needed to finish the design. The LTM8024 product video is available on website.

The LTM8024 is packaged in a thermally enhanced, compact (9mm × 11.25mm × 3.32mm) over-molded ball grid array (BGA) package suitable for automated assembly by standard surface mount equipment. The LTM8024 is RoHS compliant.

Product Detail

Demonstration circuit 1868A is a dual step-down DC/DC switching converter featuring the LTM8024 μModule regulator. The demo board is designed to deliver dual 5V/3A and 3.3V/3A outputs from a 7V to 40V input. The Silent Switcher® architecture minimizes EMI while achieving high efficiency at frequencies up to 3MHz. The modes of operation (Burst Mode or Discontinuous Mode/SYNC) are jumper selectable. Burst Mode operation improves efficiency at light loads.

The LTM8024 is a fixed frequency PWM regulator with current mode control scheme. The switching frequency is set by an appropriate resistor (R11) from the RT pin to ground. The RUN pins (EN1/EN2 terminals) can be used to set the LTM8024 in micro power shutdown mode. The power good output of each channel (PG1 or PG2 terminal) will be low when that channel’s output voltage is outside of the ±7.5% regulation window.

Product Detail

The AD-JUPITER-EBZ is a versatile software-defined platform based on Analog Devices ADRV9002 and Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC. The ADRV9002 is a new generation RF transceiver that has dual-channel transmitters, dual-channel receivers covering a frequency range of 30 MHz to 6 GHz. This device has a high-quality RF linearity performance and a set of advanced features like fast profiles switching, flexible power vs. performance configuration, fast frequency hopping, multi-chip synchronization, and digital pre-distortion (DPD) for narrow and wide band waveform.

The evaluation platform includes XCZU3EG processing device that has a wide range of interfaces, making the system capable of local processing or streaming to a remote host. It comes integrated in a self-contained ruggedized aluminum case, which gives flexibility in evaluating and prototyping across different environments.
