Product Details

The EVAL-ADuM3250EBZ evaluation board demonstrates the performance and capabilities of the ADuM3250 isolated half-bridge gate driver, which utilizes Analog Devices’ proprietary iCoupler® technology. By default, the EVAL-ADuM3250EBZ evaluation board includes the ADuM3250A model, which delivers a peak output current of 10A and features a 4.5V undervoltage lockout (UVLO) threshold on both VDDA and VDDB rails. Grade B (7.6V) model offers additional UVLO option that accommodate different switch requirements and ensure safe operation under varying supply conditions.

The ADuM3250 VDD1 supports input voltages from 2.5V to 5.5V, which makes it compatible with a wide range of logic families. Input signals VIA and VIB respectively control the output states of VOA and VOB, while the DISABLE input shuts off the device regardless of the channel inputs. In addition to providing basic overlap protection, the dead-time (DT) pin on the primary side allows an adjustable dead time between the VOA and VOB output transitions.

The ADuM3250 secondary side can sustain supply voltages up to 28V. This evaluation board simplifies the characterization of propagation delay, drive strength, and device logic, which makes it ideal for characterizing the ADuM3250 isolated gate driver family.

Full specifications on the ADuM3250 are available in the ADuM3250 data sheet available from Analog Devices, Inc., and must be consulted with this user guide when using the EVAL-ADuM3250EBZ evaluation board.
