- Flexible Parallel or Serial Interface
- Crystal Oscillator
- Single 5 V Supply
- On-Chip 2.5 V Voltage Reference
The AD7723 is a complete 16-bit, sigma-delta ADC. The part operates from a +5 V supply. The analog input is continuously sampled, eliminating the need for an external sample-and-hold. The modulator output is processed by a finite impulse response (FIR) digital filter. The on-chip filtering combined with a high over-sampling-ratio reduces the external anti-alias requirements to first order in most cases. The digital filter frequency response can be programmed to be either low-pass or band-pass.
Product Lifecycle Production
At least one model within this product family is in production and available for purchase. The product is appropriate for new designs but newer alternatives may exist.
Evaluation Kits (1)
The EVAL-AD7723CBZ is a fully featured evaluation kit for the AD7723. This board operates in stand alone mode or in conjunction with the Evaluation Controller board. When operated with the Evaluation Controller board, software is provided enabling the user to perform detailed analysis of the ADC's performance. This software includes the technical note describing the operation and set up of the evaluation board in standalone operation or when operated with the Evaluation Controller board.
