HOW ADI IS SUPPORTING UKRAINIAN REFUGES IN ROMANIA

Employees Offer Additional Support in Generous and Meaningful Ways

In early 2022, shortly after the conflict in Ukraine made international news, the Analog Devices Foundation announced a 2:1 match of employee donations in support of Ukrainian humanitarian efforts. This was in addition to $100,000 of support that the Foundation committed at the onset of the crisis.

Combined with the Foundation match, employee donations totaled more than $700,000 raised for the International Committee of Red Cross (ICRC), the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC), and Razom, an organization providing emergency response efforts and medical supplies.

“The challenges that the people of Ukraine face weigh heavily on us all,” said ADI CEO Vince Roche.

His statement was borne out by the actions of ADI employees, whose generous support did not stop at simple monetary donations. With true ADI spirit, they innovated new and creative ways to offer support during the Ukrainian refugee crisis. Read on to see how our employees are making a difference in Ukraine.

Polish and Austrian Employees Are Boots on the Ground

ADI employees in Poland and Austria are supporting Ukrainian refugees by securing housing and assisting with transportation for employees of VD Mais, an ADI distributor headquartered in Kyiv, Ukraine.

“VD Mais has been an ADI distributor for more than 20 years,” said Damian Sosna, Senior Field Applications Engineer. “Besides being an outstanding business partner, the VD Mais people are simply a great combination of open heart, hospitality and friendliness.”

Sosna and his colleagues are hosting families or helping to find housing for those displaced by this humanitarian crisis. Other employees close to the heart of the action are helping with job placement assistance, opening bank accounts, and other important support services.

Helping Out Is Sweet in Dublin, Ireland

The Dublin office has a tradition of bake sales. As one of the organizers, Katie Wong, said, “The way to one’s heart is through their stomach. At the Dublin site we love to share our love for food.”

Dublin employees raised more than $1100 U.S. through their bake sale. The event was extra sweet, as it was the first time since the pandemic that employees were able to sit together at the same table since returning to the office.

“There is nothing more rewarding than bringing the office together for a great cause,” said Wong, adding: “Anyone who couldn’t make it onsite was directed to the giving portal to make an online donation. Since the bake sale, many people have reached out to say they donated online and loved how easy it was.”

Supporting Ukrainian Refugees in Romania

The Analog Devices Foundation made additional grants to two local organizations in Romania: Crucea Rosie Romana, which is focused on helping refugees at the border, and Asociatia O Masa Calda, which is providing medicine and supplies to hospitals in the Ukraine as well as helping refugees.

“On behalf of ADI, I’d like to thank everyone for your generosity and kindness. You are truly making a difference to so many people, in so many ways, during this crisis,” said Marnie Seif, CPO and member of the Foundation Board.

As efforts continue, we look forward to sharing additional updates on how ADI and its employees are supporting these humanitarian efforts.
