Analog Devices offers development tools that allow designers to evaluate and test the ADSP-2101, ADSP-2104, ADSP-2105, and ADSP-2115 processors. These tools consist of the ADSP-2101 EZ-KIT® Lite low cost evaluation/development system and the ADSP-2101 EZ-ICE® In-Circuit emulator.

The ADSP-2101 EZ-KIT is a low cost evaluation/ development system for the ADSP-2101. The EZ-KIT package provides everything a designer needs to start designing a DSP system. The EZ-KIT includes an ADSP-2101 evaluation board with the ADSP-2100 family software tools, including a compiler, assembler, debugger and simulator. This EZ-KIT may also be used for developing applications targeting the ADSP-2115, ADSP-2105, and ADSP-2104 processors. (Ref. Part #ADDS-2101-EZ-KIT)

EZ-ICE emulators provide non-intrusive controlled environment for observing, debugging and testing activities in a target system. Compact and easy to use, the ADSP-2101 EZ-ICE in-circuit emulator performs a wide range of functions including single-step and full-speed execution with pre-defined breakpoints, viewing and/or altering of register and memory contents. The ADSP-2101 EZ-ICE is designed with a PGA connector protruding from the bottom of the probe board that fits into the processor socket on the target system. Connector adapters for PQFP and TQFP are available. In addition, the ADSP-2101 EZ-ICE is used in developing systems based on the ADSP-2104, ADSP-2105, ADP-2115, and ADSP-216x DSPs.
