AD5555:  Precision DUAL 16-Bit 14-Bit-DACs in Compact TSSOP Packages

Product Description

The AD5545/AD5555 contains 2-independent, current-output, digital-to-analog converters in a space savings pin-compatible TSSOP-16 package. The AD5545 offers full 16-bit resolution while the lower priced AD5555 offers 14-bit resolution. Operating from a single +5 V supply, this part consumes less than 10 micro-amps in the quiescent state, significantly reducing heat generation. Using a precision external reference, and an op amp, a wide variety of output ranges are configurable from single ended |5 V| through |10 V|, to dual polarity ±2.5 V through ±10 VPEAK spans. Power on reset to either mid-scale or zero scale is pin selectable. In programmable AC attenuation applications, the 2-quadrant multiplying mode operates at 4 MHz bandwidths. DAC Data loads at 40 MHz through a simple 3-wire SPI compatible serial interface.
