The ADIS16220 iSensor® is a digital vibration sensor that combines industry-leading iMEMS® sensing technology with a signal processor that provides a convenient user interface, optimizes power dissipation, and manages user operational controls. The 22 kHz sensor bandwidth and 100 kHz sample rate provide adequate response for most machine health applications and an averaging/decimating filter provides optimization for lower bandwidth applications.

An internal clock drives the data sampling system, which supports three different data collection modes. The automatic data collection allow for periodic wake-up and capture, based on a programmable duty cycle. The manual data capture mode requires user input to update the data buffers, providing power/read-rate optimization. The event capture mode continuously updates the buffers and monitors them for a preset trigger condition, which preserves pre/post event data. A common serial interface (SPI) and data buffer structure manage user access to sensor data. Three 1024 buffers capture data for user-driven reads over the SPI, which reduces the bit rate requirements on the port.

The ADIS16220 also offers a digital temperature sensor, digital power supply measurements, peak output tracking, and a programmable condition monitoring function, which produces an alarm indicator signal for driving system level interrupts. Two auxiliary analog-to-digital input channels provide interface to additional analog output accelerometers, which simplifies the process of developing a tri-axis sensing system.

The ADIS16220 comes in a 9.2 mm × 9.2 mm × 3.9 mm LGA package that meets the Pb-free solder reflow profile requirements per JEDEC J-STD-020 and supports an extended operating temperature range of −40°C to +125°C.

The ADIS16220/PCBZ is a "breakout boad that provides (1) ADIS16220CCCZ and (1) interface PCB to simplify the process of "prototyping" during the early stages of system design and evaluation. The ADIS16220CCCZis a fully-calibrated, digital MEMS vibration sensor, which provides a serial peripheral interface (SPI) for all digital communications. It is in a 16-lead, LGA package that minimizes board space but does not support typical prototype soldering processes. The interface PCB provides access to the ADIS16220CCCZ, using dual-row, 12-pin connectors, which supports standard ribbon cable systems and hand-soldering connection techniques.

ADISUSBシステムは、iSensor製品を評価するためのシンプルなPCベースのツールです。iSensorをエンベデッド・プロセッサ・システムに組み込む準備ができていない場合、このツールを利用できます。

このシステムは、サポート対象の各デバイスに対して基本的なデモンストレーション、個別のレジスタ・アクセス、データ・キャプチャを行えるアプリケーション・ソフトウェアを備えています。各アプリケーション・ソフトウェア・パッケージにはインストールを簡単に行うためのインストール・ウィザードが収められており、シンプルで使いやすいUSBドライバ・パッケージも付属しています。

ADISUSB関連のソフトウェア・パッケージはすべて、Windows XP、Vista、7の32ビット・バージョンと互換性があります。ADISUSBの回路ボードの厚さは0.125インチで、各iSensorデバイスに対応した下穴／ネジ穴加工済みの装着穴を用意しています。装着穴は、M2x0.4mmの小ネジに対応しています。電源システムが内蔵されているため、ほとんどの場合外付けの電源は不要ですが、電源感度テスト用に外部電源入力に対応しています。電源システムはUSBの+5Vを使用し、+3.3Vデバイス用のリニア・レギュレータ・オプションが用意されています。
