Return to Mission Mode under Battery Power
Abstract
This application note explains how the Teridian 71M6531–71M6534 energy-meter ICs can return to mission mode when the grid power is absent, to perform computation-intensive tasks and analog functions under battery power. When in brownout mode, these single- and polyphase energy-metering ICs operate the MPU at reduced clock speed, which supports basic operations, such as tamper detection, display and other household functions.
