  • The MAXQ3130 is a low-power microcontroller that features two high-performance 32-bit RISC cores (MAXQ20), an integrated ADC, an LCD controller, a temperature-compensated real-time clock (RTC), and advanced security engines (AES and Triple-DES). Also included are a dedicated core (DSPCore) for intensive data processing and a user core (UserCore) for managing communication with peripherals.

The two cores can operate at different clock speeds, thus reducing system power consumption for even the most data-processing-intensive applications. Users can configure the UserCore to run at the lowest clock rate possible for monitoring peripherals for communication activities while the DSPCore runs at the highest speed. Each core has access to an independent hardware multiplier. The UserCore supports dual-SPI™, I2C, and UART with IrDA SIR capability; it also features a trimmable RTC, battery-backed RTC registers, and data memory. The DSPCore is fully user programmable and configurable.
