The LTC2323-14 is a low noise, high speed dual 14-bit + sign successive approximation register (SAR) ADC with differential inputs and wide input common mode range. Operating from a single 3.3V or 5V supply, the LTC2323-14 has an 8VP-P differential input range, making it ideal for applications which require a wide dynamic range with high common mode rejection. The LTC2323-14 achieves ±1LSB INL typical, no missing codes at 14 bits and 80dB SNR.

The LTC2323-14 has an on-board low drift (20ppm/°C max) 2.048V or 4.096V temperature-compensated reference. The LTC2323-14 also has a high speed SPI-compatible serial interface that supports CMOS or LVDS. The fast 5Msps per channel throughput with one-cycle latency makes the LTC2323-14 ideally suited for a wide variety of high speed applications. The LTC2323-14 dissipates only 38mW per channel and offers nap and sleep modes to reduce the power consumption to 5μW for further power savings during inactive periods.

Product Detail

Demonstration circuit 1996A features the LTC®2323 family. With up to 5Msps, these differential, dual channel, 16-bit, serial, high speed successive approximation register (SAR) ADCs are available in a 28-lead QFN package. The LTC2323 family has an internal 20ppm/°C reference and an SPI-compatible serial interface that supports CMOS and LVDS logic. Note the demo board is configured for CMOS operation by default; see the note under JP3 for LVDS operation. The demo manual refers to the LTC2323, but applies to all members of the family, the only difference being the sample rate and the number of bits.

Tools & Simulations 2

LTspice® is a powerful, fast and free simulation software, schematic capture and waveform viewer with enhancements and models for improving the simulation of analog circuits.

To launch ready-to-run LTspice demonstration circuits for this part:

Step 1: Download and install LTspice on your computer.

Step 2: Click on the link in the section below to download a demonstration circuit.

Step 3: If LTspice does not automatically open after clicking the link below, you can instead run the simulation by right clicking on the link and selecting “Save Target As.” After saving the file to your computer, start LTspice and open the demonstration circuit by selecting ‘Open’ from the ‘File’ menu.
