EKIT01-HMC9000 is a complete quantizer for DC -18 GHz input signals.

A ultra-wideband T/H amplifier samples the input signal, and an ADC quantizes the T/H output signal. The ADC provides LVDS data to an FMC connector. A low jitter integrated PLL/VCO provides the clock signal based on the crystal oscillator mounted on the EVAL01-HMC9000 board, or an external reference signal. The clock output from the PLL is provided directly to the T/H and to the ADC through a programmable delay.

The programmable delay ensures that the ADC samples the T/H output at an optimum delay. A Xilinx Spartan-6 FPGA Evaluation board with Hittite EasyStack™ Firmware is used for configuration and data transport for the Multi-GHz Quantizer.

The EKIT01-HMC9000 also includes EasySuite™ PC GUI for configuration and performance analysis.
